Our company has been founded on 25 November 2005 as a spin-off by the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research (PIK) merging with the companies BRUECKE-Potsdam GbR and Meteo Research.

A word on language: A major part of our work so far was in conjunction with German funding sources. Therefore you might occasionally find links on our website featuring reports and other research-related material which are not in English. To a growing degree, however, we have participated in international co-operations (e.g., COST-Action 733 or cross-boundary research projects with Poland and the Czech Republic) and over all the years of CEC’s existence we have presented our findings at international conferences, such as the EMS Annual Meeting series.
